Coventry Police Respond to Hill Farm Camp Home Invasion

The victims escaped unharmed, however the suspects have not been apprehended.

 

 

At approximately 12:11 a.m. on Friday morning, Coventry Police responded to 39 Hill Farm Camp Rd. to investigate a report of an armed home invasion.

The residents (names withheld) advised they were sleeping when four men entered their home. They described the men as wearing black clothes w/ ski masks and gloves. No further identification is available at this time.  The men were armed according to the victims. 

After being in the home for a short period of time the intruders believed they had the wrong people and left the home after tying up the residents.

There were no reported injuries.

Home invasions are seldom random. The perpetrators usually know what's in that particular home or business. Usually it's cash, sometimes drugs. The same goes for burglaries which 90% are carried out by someone who is familiar with their target. It's a good idea to not share what you have with people around you.

True Alicarn, but still dangerous. Especially when the perps jot down the wrong address! It could have easily turned deadly once they realized what went wrong. If you live on a street that isnt a thru-way I'd suggest writing down the plate of out of place cars. If nothing comes of it, so what? Throw it out.

This was no burglary, They were looking for someone that used to live there.
