"About a year ago (prior to TROPICAL STORM IRENE, we were without power for several days) on a day when there was no problem with weather our power went out. Affected were approximately 20 to 25 houses on my street. According to one of the service crew, when National Grid originally laid the underground wires they did not properly protect them and over time the ground had shifted and something had pierced a line causing the outage. He also said to be prepared because it was going to happen again.
At 8:22 last night (8/2/12), his prophecy came true.
I called ....and my State Senator, Nicholas Kettle (District 21). I told him who I was, gave him the history (when I mentioned Irene he had to one up me and said he was out for 8 days), and his immediate response was “Do you know what time it is?” This from an ELECTED state official, one who chose to take this job (by the way it was 10:03). I told him I did not care what time it was, he had chosen to answer the call. Also on his reelection website I quote the last line, “I welcome the opportunity to speak with you, so please do not hesitate to call me at….”
Have not heard anything from the Senator as of today.

I just wish he'd stop saying he was a Republican when his literature is straight out of the Tea Party Handbook. Right to work, end collective Bargaining. Lets not forget wanting to fill seats at and engagement so that "homeless" peopel couldn't fill the place up.

Wonder what kind of grants and student loans he gets!!! Not what the teaparty likes thats for sure , But have you met any teabagger who was not hypocrite?? Have you heard this kid talk he sounds like he hasn't gone thru puberty yet. They knew they had a weak opponent in Assalone a couple of years ago and took the race. I don't believe there is one thing this kid writes that doesn't get passed by the baggers first.

Just curious why you would call your Senator instead of contacting National Grid? Don't they own the lines? and if its a private road Who owns them do you own part if it?
Kettle consistently votes considering all the taxpayers not just the union taxpayers and not at the behest of Piva-Weed. I am an independent former Dem. The person running against Kettle is Pollak. You may recall he beat Nick Gorham a few years back then got beat after 1 term. Pollak lost that race in the house because he was a stooge for the house leadership. I know Pollak he is and arrogant person who does not care about the Taxpayer. I think he is in it for himself.
Im voting for Kettle, with him you get a fair shake. The Kid is young, smart and un corrupted. He works and goes to school full time all while being a state senator and the youngest one in state history. His voting record get my vote on election .

I can't believe this kid won again. Are there no other formidable candidates in the Coventry/Scituate areas? Wake up people! Kettle makes you all look so incompetent!;
