House of Representatives Candidate Holds Fundraiser
Keith Anderson's Apr. 29 fundraiser attracted a bigger crowd than expected.
Keith Anderson, running for Rhode Island State Representative, District 29, held his second campaign, “Meet the Future of RI”, fundraiser this past Sunday, Apr. 29 at Andiamo Restaurant, 1650 Nooseneck Hill Rd. in Coventry. Anderson’s campaign team, headed by Cheryl and Ray Robbio, did a great job organizing this very successful event. There was great all you can eat food, a fun raffle and of course, great conversations around the tables.
The event had a better than expected attendance that also included some RI Senators and Representatives and other RI GOP leaders.
Barry Hinckley was one of the first speakers stating that Anderson is one of his heroes that he often thinks about. Other speakers included Mark Zaccaria, Chairman of the RI GOP, and Mike Riley who will be running against Jim Langevin.
Anderson was the final speaker at his own fundraiser telling everyone that RI needs new leadership to stop our state from going down the same road that has hindered our State from growth and from a 70-year Democrat lead General assembly that has only hurt our state by putting interest groups before the people of RI that elected them. He also mentioned that if he wanted, he could just sit at home and collect more money from the government than what he earns as an East Providence high school teacher because of the injuries and disabilities he suffered from a car accident.
Anderson went on to say that he believes it is his responsibility to support himself and his family and that the taxpayers should not have the burden of supporting him. He believes most people can and should move forward with their lives and be productive members of society and he has proven this with his own life.
All monies received at this event will go to support Anderson's campaign.
