Help Contribute to Coventry Patch's 9/11 Remembrance Project
We are looking for Coventry residents who were directly affected by the 9/11 attacks, including the wars and other aftermath of that fateful day.
Everyone remembers where they were on Sept. 11, 2001.
But in every community across America, there are those who were more directly affected by the terrorist attacks and the confusing decade of war, fear and unrest that has followed.
We are looking for those of you in Coventry who have felt that effect more closely than most, and we want to share your stories. Telling your stories is the best way locally we can help come to terms with that terrible day and the way it changed our country.
Were you there or know someone who was in New York or D.C. that day? Did you go afterwards to help? Did you or someone you know join the military because of the attacks?
These are only a small sampling of the ways 9/11 may have affected you.
If you have a story to share, send Editor Lauren Costa an e-mail at lauren.costa@patch.com. Please describe briefly how 9/11 affected you, and we'll be in touch.
If you weren't directly affected, but know someone who was, please share that, too.
Thank you all!

Please help Commemorate The (10th) Anniversary of 9/11 Ceremony (Riverpoint COMMUNITY Park )
There has been a traditional, ongoing and modest, yet meaningful set of ceremonies each year on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
Our dedicated citizenry are coordinating statewide volunteers, neighbors, scouts, veterans, students / schools, churches/clergy and families would like you to kindly participate on this solemn occasion of reflection and collective resilience among our American people and area wide citizens.
This late afternoon moment of pondering thought would be appropriate as the volunteers are always open to input and recommendation among our citizenry, public officials and volunteers.
