Guess The Snowfall, Win A Prize
The size of this storm is anyone's guess - so give us yours.
There’s a storm coming. Or is there? It’s another big one. Or is it? Predictions vary wildly.
Television station WPRI 12 is saying “significant accumulations” are possible. Meteorologist Gary Ley at WJAR 10 is predicting a mix of rain and snow along the coast, uncertain totals inland. ABC 6 is predicting 6 inches with a possibility of 12 or more in northern Rhode Island. The National Weather Service says snow is on the way, 5 to 9 inches. Weather.gov, a publication of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, has issued a Winter Storm Watch for all of this region.
So what’s coming? Only time will tell. Better yet. What do you think?
Post your prediction for total snowfall below. Here are the rules:
- The official total will be measured at an undisclosed but predetermined location in the town of Coventry.
- The measurement will be taken at 9 am Thursday morning in an area cleared of all previous snow.
- Measurements are in inches, and guesses should be, too.
- Yes, we will accept 1/2-inch guesses.
