There’s a storm coming. Or is there? It’s another big one. Or is it? Predictions vary wildly.

Television station WPRI 12 is saying “significant accumulations” are possible. Meteorologist Gary Ley at WJAR 10 is predicting a mix of rain and snow along the coast, uncertain totals inland. ABC 6 is predicting 6 inches with a possibility of 12 or more in northern Rhode Island. The National Weather Service says snow is on the way, 5 to 9 inches. Weather.gov, a publication of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, has issued a Winter Storm Watch for all of this region.
