Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for every age to make your weekend just what you've been waiting for. Check our picks for the activities that are going on in town.

1.) Community Blood Drive

Where/When: Dave's Marketplace (23 Coventry Shoppers Park); Friday, 3-6 p.m. 

Why Go: Save a life, or three by donating blood today!

2.) Greene Homestead Tours

Where/When: Gen. Nathanael Greene Homestead (50 Taft St.) ; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m.

Why Go: The historic 1770 homestead of Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene is now open for tours. For more information, visitwww.nathanaelgreenehomestead.org.

Pricing: $5/adult, $3/child

3.) Phenix Family Fun Day

Where/When: Phenix Baptist Church (2 Fairview Ave., West Warwick) ; Saturday, 1-5 p.m.

Why Go: Phenix Baptist Church will hold a Family Fun Day on Saturday. All are invited to enjoy games, face painting and more! Refreshments will be available. 

Pricing: $2/person, maximum $10 for a family of five or more

4.) Elks Club Italian Night

Where/When: Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Club (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich)

Why Go: The Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge will hold an Italian Night on Saturday. Social hour will begin at 6:30 p.m., Dinner buffet at 7:30 p.m. The menu includes Venus DeMilo soup, antipasto, eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, homemade meatballs, pasta and ice cream. Music by "Lou Paz". For tickets call Bev at 943.6507 or the Lodge at 397.9700.

5.) Hopkins Hill Fire Golf Tournament

Where/When: Richmond Country Club (74 Sandy Pond Rd., Richmond) ; Sunday, 8 a.m.

Why Go: The Hopkins Hill Firefighters Local 4824 is scheduled to hold its second annual Golf Tournament on September 9, 2012 at Richmond Country Club. The event will include 18 holes of golf with a cart, hot dogs at the turn, a steak fry, raffles and prizes. Pricing: $125 per golfer

6.) Line Dancing

Where/When: Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge ; Sunday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Want to try something a little different this weekend? Then try your hand (or feet) at line dancing. All ages and abilities are welcome. For more info call Jerry (397-3700) or Lori (206-3618).

Pricing: $6 per person to benefit Elks and Emblems charities.
