Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for every age to make your weekend just what you've been waiting for. Check our picks for the activities that are going on in town.

1.) Community Blood Drives

Where/When: Dunkin Donuts (24 Shoppers' Park); Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Pool & Patio Center (475 Tiogue Ave.); Saturday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Why Go: Save a life - or three! Donate blood today!

2.) Greene Homestead Tours

Where/When: Gen. Nathanael Greene Homestead (50 Taft St.) ; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m.

Why Go: The historic 1770 homestead of Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene is now open for tours. For more information, visitwww.nathanaelgreenehomestead.org.

Pricing: $5/adult, $3/child

3.) Kids Workshop at the Home Depot

Where/When: Coventry Home DepotSaturday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Why Go: Children ages 5 to 12 can participate in this program where children will be able to make some useful projects like tool boxes, pencil boxes, coaster sets, etc.

4.) Pink Heals Food Drive

Where/When: Dave's Market (Shoppers' Park) ; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

Why Go: Coventry CERT team members will be collecting food for the RI Chapter of Pink Heals on Saturday at Dave's Market in Coventry. There will be a list of much-needed items at the store entrance for those wishing to contribute.

5.) 2012 Ride to Remember

Where/When: Rock Junction (731 Centre of New England Blvd.); Sunday, Registration 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Kickstands up at 1 p.m.

Why Go: The Station Fire Memorial Foundation will hold its annual Ride to Remember, featuring national recording artists, Lansdowne. Great food and bands all day and night!

Pricing: $25/rider, $15/passenger, $15/non-rider and $5/child (under 12)

6.) Line Dancing

Where/When: Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge ; Sunday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Want to try something a little different this weekend? Then try your hand (or feet) at line dancing. All ages and abilities are welcome. For more info call Jerry (397-3700) or Lori (206-3618).

Pricing: $6 per person to benefit Elks and Emblems charities.
