Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Five Things You Need To Know Today, September 4.

Today is Tuesday, Sept. 4. Here are five things you need to know:

CPL Drop-In Games: Children are invited to visit the Coventry Public Library's Youth Services Department from 3-5 p.m. to play board games with other library friends. Select a game from the list, ask a librarian for the game you'd like to play and have fun!

Political Blogging: As we head into election season, Coventry Patch is looking for candidates who would like to blog about their platform, views and anything else they would like the public to know! Residents with a knowledge or passion for politics would make terrific bloggers, also! Email lauren.costa@patch.com if you're interested.

Community Blood Drive: Save a life…or three by donating blood today at Dunkin Donuts (800 Tiogue Ave.) from 4-7 p.m.

Greene Famers' Market: The Greene Public Library Farmers' Market (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene), is open today from 4-7 p.m. There will be fresh bread, pies, herbs, veggies, original art, natural cosmetics and more. Rain or shine!

Plan Ahead: Register today for the Hopkins Hill Firefighters Local 4824 Golf Tournament, to be held on Sept. 9 at 8 a.m. at Richmond Country Club. Cost is $125 per golfer, which includes 18 holes and a cart, hot dogs, steak fry, raffles and prizes. Contact Dan McAloon for tickets at 401.623.6274 or dmac642b@yahoo.com.
