Today is Tuesday, Sept. 18. Here are five things you need to know:

CHS on Twitter: Remember to follow Coventry High School on Twitter @CoventryOakers. For the next few weeks, Principal Mike Hobin will be tweeting test-taking strategies daily in preparation for NECAP testing in October.

Greene Famers' Market: The Greene Public Library Farmers' Market (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene), is open today from 4-7 p.m. There will be fresh bread, pies, herbs, veggies, original art, natural cosmetics and more. Rain or shine!

Traces of the Trade: The Western RI Civic Historic Society will host the presentation, "Traces of the Trade", told by Producer/Director Katrina Browne on tonight at 7 p.m. at Coventry Public Library. Browne will tell the story of her forefathers, the largest slave-trading family in US history. Call Jane at 822-9100 for reservations.

Western Coventry Open House: Western Coventry School will host its 2012-2013 Open House this evening at 7 p.m. Please be reminded that this is an evening designed for parents only. Bring your planners as there will be an opportunity to sign up for parent/teacher conferences.
