Five Things You Need To Know Today, October 10

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 10. Here are five things you need to know:

 

 

Voter IDs: Be sure that your vote is counted on Nov. 6! Residents can obtain free Voter IDs today from 10 a.m. to noon at Woodland Manor (20 Woodland Dr.) Click here for a quick video on how the process works.

Greene Storytime: Today marks the first day of Greene Library 's Fall Preschool Storytime. The group will meet on Wednesdays from 10:30-11:15 a.m. to promote literacy through stories, rhymes, fingerplays, songs and movement. Call 397-3873 to register.

Evening Storytime: The Coventry Public Library offers Evening Storytime tonight, for children ages 3-8 on beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature stories, fingerplays, flannelboards, songs and crafts and children are invited to wear their PJs! No registration is required.

Sex Offender Notifications: Parents within the Coventry School District should fill out and return to school the attached "Sex Offender Notification Opt-Out Form" if you would like your name and address removed from the directory to the police department for the purpose of sex offender notification.

Plan Ahead: We here at Patch will soon be announcing a Halloween Costume Photo Contest across Rhode Island. Do your kids have their costumes yet? Start thinking about submitting a photo to enter! The contest starts on Oct. 15 so keep an eye out!
