Five Things You Need To Know Today, May 16

The FY12 Budget will either be adopted or amended at tonight's Town Council meeting.

 

Today is Monday, May 16. Here are five things you need to know:

Monday Rock & Read - 3 groups: Babies and toddlers, along with their caregivers, are invited to experience stories, music, rhymes and fingerplays at the Coventry Public Library. Birth to 12 months at 9:30 a.m., 13 to 23 months at 10:30 a.m., 13 to 23 months at 11:15 a.m. Registration required. Call 822-9102 for more information and to register.

CHS Voter Registration Drive: Coventry students who will be 18 by Election Day are urged to register to vote during a drive from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Coventry High School cafeteria.

Coventry Blood Drives: The Rhode Island Blood Center Bloodmobile will be in town from 3-6 p.m. in the gymnasium at Western Coventry Elementary School and from 5-8 p.m. atMaple Root Baptist Church.

Town Council Meeting: Arrive at the Town Hall Chambers at 7 p.m. to be informed of the latest issues in Coventry. The agenda for the meeting can be found here.

Adult Beginners Co-Ed Volleyball: Stop by the Flat River gym from 6-8:30 p.m. for a friendly game of volleyball. This non-competitive session is made up of teams that are formed weekly. Admission is $10.
