Five Things You Need To Know Today, March 7

Today is Thursday, March 7, 2013. Here are five things you need to know:

 

 

Memorial Service for Nancy Sprengelmeyer: Visiting hours will be held on today from 3-7 p.m. at Iannotti Funeral Home (415 Washington St., Coventry). A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m., also at Iannotti. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Coventry Teachers' Alliance (CTA) Scholarship Fund. Click here to view the donation form.

CPD Safety Event: The Coventry Police Department will host a free Child Seat Installation and Kids Workshop today from 12-3 p.m. at Anytime Fitness, located at 55 Sandy Bottom Rd.

CANCELED: Governor's Business Community Outreach Forum: Gov. Chafee's Business Forum scheduled for today at Coventry Town Hall has been postponed by RI EDC due to impending weather. A new date will be announced as soon as it is scheduled.

Greene Craft Workshop: Stop by Greene Library (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene) today from 4-6 p.m. to learn the art of Pysanky, by creating colorful Ukrainian Easter eggs from instructor Lisa Schipritt. Each year Lisa presents a different design for participants to create. Call 397-3873 to register. $8.00 fee per person.

CHS Report Night: Coventry High School's Annual School Report Night will be held this evening at 7 p.m. in the library/media center. All are welcome.
