CPD Safety Event: The Coventry Police Department will host a free Child Seat Installation Demonstration today from 12-3 p.m. at Anytime Fitness (55 Tiogue Ave.)
Crafters Wanted: Friends of the Coventry Library will be hosting its annual craft fair on September 22 and are looking for crafters who would like to sell their goods at the event. Applications may be submitted to Virginia Lynch at lynchkids96@verizon.net or by calling her at 826-1122.
Elks Lodge Luau: The Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge is hosting a Luau Party on August 11. Social Hour begins at 6 p.m., Dinner Buffet at 7 p.m. Buffet includes baked Hawaiian ham, sweet & sour chicken, roast beef and gravy, potatoes, rice, green beans, glazed carrots, dessert and coffee. CBA Registration: Online registration is now open for the Coventry Basketball Association 2012-2013 season. Registration is $80 for one child and discounts are available for multiple children. Register today at www.coventrybasketball.com.
Plan Ahead: The Johnson's Pond Civic Association will host its August Concert on the Pond on Saturday, Aug. 11 inside Wood Cove, featuring music by "Zink Alloy" from 6-9 p.m.
