CPD Safety Event: The Coventry Police Department will host a free Child Seat Installation Demonstration today from 12-3 p.m. at Anytime Fitness (55 Tiogue Ave.)

Elks Lodge Luau: The Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge is hosting a Luau Party on August 11. Social Hour begins at 6 p.m., Dinner Buffet at 7 p.m. Buffet includes baked Hawaiian ham, sweet & sour chicken, roast beef and gravy, potatoes, rice, green beans, glazed carrots, dessert and coffee. Plan Ahead: The Johnson's Pond Civic Association will host its August Concert on the Pond on Saturday, Aug. 11 inside Wood Cove, featuring music by "Zink Alloy" from 6-9 p.m.
