Animal Experiences at CPL: Children ages four and up are invited to join Dave Marchetti at Coventry Public Library today at 10:30 a.m. to learn about a variety of small animals and reptiles! Registration is required, so please call 822-9202 for availability information.
Coventry PD February Safety Event: The Coventry Police Department will host a free Child Seat Installation and Kids Workshop today from 12-3 p.m. at Dunkin Donuts (800 Tiogue Ave.).
Library Drop-In Crafts: Children of all ages are welcome to drop-in at the Coventry Public Library on Thursday afternoons from 3-5 p.m. and make a craft to take home.
Cal Ripken Papa Gino's Fundraiser: The Coventry Cal Ripken baseball league is holding its community fundraiser today at Papa Gino's (1080 Tiogue Ave.), from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Bring the attached flyer when paying for your dine-in or carry-out order and 20% of the sales will go to the league.
Pitch, Hit and Run Competition: The Coventry Parks & Recreation Department presents its Pitch, Hit and Run youth skills competition today on the Babe Ruth Field at Paine Field. The event is free and pre-registration will take place at 5:30 p.m. with the competition immediately following. The event is open to boys and girld ages 7-14 (as of July 17, 2012) and is based on batting, pitching and base running. Call 822-9107 for more information.
