CCFD Responds to "Big Suds" Near Arnold Road
The mess was a result of fire suppression foam from ACAF Systems.
On Thursday morning at approximately 7:50 a.m., Central Coventry Fire Department responded to several reports of "big amounts of suds" flowing down Arnold Rd.
Fire Chief Bob Seltzer explained that ACAF employees squeegeed some of the remaining biodegradable concentrate onto the front ramp of the building on Wednesday night. Thursday morning's rain caused the product to foam heavily and flow down Grandview St. and onto Arnold Rd.
"We have a cleanup crew here cleaning up the mess and clearing the drains out," said Seltzer. "The situation is under control and it is not a threat to anyone."
