Update: Motor Vehicle Accident Injures Three In Coventry
Police have released the ages of the three victims and the identity of the driver.
An automobile accident left three injured in Coventry on Monday morning.
At 9:39 a.m., a black GMC Sierra pickup truck struck a tree and a stone wall in the area of 1385 Plainfield Pike while heading west toward the Connecticut border. The driver, Jason Zifchock, 31 of Gibson Hill Road, Sterling, CT was extracted from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life then airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The two passengers, 15-year-old and 16-year old girls were taken by ambulance to Hasbro Children's Hospital, one with serious injuries.
Crews from Western Coventry, Central Coventry and West Greenwich fire districts responded to the scene.
Police say the the accident is still under investigation.
