Stuart Fraser, 55, 632 Wellesley St., Weston, MA, charged with DUI first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test on Feb. 13 at 1:15 a.m.
Katherine J. Tessitori, 41, 2 Francis St., Apt. A, charged with driving after denial of license on Feb. 13 at 1:00 p.m.
Robin L. Wright, 41, 1735 Main St., Apt. #C33, West Warwick, charged with domestic felony assault (assault with a deadly weapon) and violation of a no contact order on Feb. 13 at 3:19 a.m.
Sandra L. Kimball, 49, 158 South Main St., charged with crank/obscene phone calls on Feb. 14 at 7:25 p.m.
Brandon L. Matola, 20, 139 Pilgrim Ave., Apt. #5, arrested on a bench warrant issued from third district court on Feb. 14 at 6:35 p.m.
Bryan A. Medeiros, 19, 47 Montgomery St., First Floor, Pawtucket, arrested on a warrant affidavit, a bench warrant issued from third district court and a bench warrant issued from sixth district court on Feb. 14 at 5:19 p.m.
Paula Marie Pagano, 42, 71 Station St., Apt. #8, arrested on a bench warrant issued from third district court on Feb. 14 at 9:46 p.m.
Jennifer A. Chase, 26, 59 Cedar Grove Dr., Exeter, charged with driving after denial of license on Feb. 16 at 9:35 a.m.
Tammy Cotoia, 49, 26 Salem Ave., Cranston, charged with DUI first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test on Feb. 16 at 9:20 p.m.
Alexis E. Depardo, 20, 100 Knotty Oak Rd., charged with shoplifting on Feb. 16 at 2:07 p.m.
Michael S. Perry, 27, 307 Greenwich Ave., Apt. #E324, Warwick, charged with driving after denial of license on Feb. 16 at 1:51 a.m.
Derek Christopher Ravenell, 22, 187 Cowesett Ave., West Warwick, charged with shoplifting on Feb. 16 at 2:08 p.m.
Raymond Charron, 18, 65 Sisson Rd., charged with disorderly conduct on Feb. 17 at 5:55 p.m.

Mitchell Ray Parenteau, 19, 9 Paige Dr., charged with threats to public officials and disorderly conduct on Feb. 17 at 5:41 p.m.
Cory J. Spetrini, 22, 12 Model Ave., Warwick, arrested on a bench warrant issued from third district court on Feb. 17 at 1:02 a.m.
Christopher Scott Chappell, 44, 210 Woodland Dr., Apt. #226, arrested on a bench warrant issued from third district court on Feb. 18 at 9:52 p.m.
Rebecca J. Palardy, 36, 88 Old Flat River Rd., charged with DUI first offense, refusal to submit to a chemical test, possession of Class C fireworks < $500, resisting arrest, laned roadway violations and two counts of possession of schedule I-V narcotics on Feb. 18 at 1:58 a.m.
Mary J. Petrozzi, 54, 978 Tiogue Ave., Apt. #B1-8, charged with willful trespass and disorderly conduct on Feb. 20 at 6:07 a.m.

Are Coventry taxpayers aware of the $$$ wasted when the CPD sends 6 officers to serve a bench warrant on a $5 missed court payment? As a Coventry taxpayer, I would expect this type of force to be used on a fugitive....not on a $5 missed court cost payment for a misdemeanor charge. And speaking of charges (ie: chargers), how do the taxpayers feel about their tax $$$$$ wasted on the CPD's new Dodge Chargers? Really? I can think of many other uses for our tax $$$$$$ !!

Dear Coventry RI Taxpayer, Its obvious you have an axe to grind and don't appreciate our police services in Town. They obviously felt the need to send 6 officers or so you claim. Would you rather them start riding horse and buggy to calls because then I am sure you would complain about response time. Finally you speak of bullet proof vests being a waste of money and not being used, even though its Coventry, the Men and Women of CPD put their lives on the line everyday they walk into work. If a couple of pennies out of my tax $$ could possibly save an officers life and possibly prevent any lasting trauma left for his or her loved ones is $$ well spent. I may be wrong but I believe its State Law that all Officers wear bullet proof vests.

This happens every few years with the cars. Ford discontinued the Police Crown Vic program so there are very few models that can be used as a police car. I like the new cars. Ct state police is getting a new taurus police version, similar money as a charger, but a lot less car. The charger will last longer.
As far as too many police responding, I would have to see the wrap sheet on this guy before I decide how many and who to send.
The chief is a taxpayer too. He is smart and fair, and I dont think many of us have the same skill sets he has to do that job. I trust him to make the right decisions with my tax dollars.
I am more worried about the tax and spend Town Council and you should be too.

I think they also get a "fleet sales" deal..the prices here are the MSRP which is just the sticker price. The prices appear to be very similar.

You are clearly a fan of the police chief and not a fan of the Town Council. My comment wasn't intended for a political debate. Most citizens of Coventry do not appreciate the frivulous spending of taxpayer $$$$ on a local police dept that does not experience violent crime like larger cities do. The Dodge Chargers are over the top and unnecessary! Do you recall Coventry spending big $$$$$ on bullett proof vests' some years back? Where are they and have they ever had the need to use them? The point of my comment was simply to express the overexertion and abuse of power used in this case. I hope you and your family never have to experience the fear of having 6 police officers, some with weapons drawn, breaking down your front door because you missed a $5 court cost payment. Please, let's get back to reality. Totally unnecessary, a waste of $$$$$ and we can only hope that his children aren't left with any lasting trauma after witnessing this.

Yeah..my guess is I won't experience that. I'll also bet he doesn't miss a payment again. I'm not going to school you on when the CPD had it's last Officer saved because of a vest as it was about twenty to twenty five years ago behind the former K Mart sight near the junk yard and vests have a life span. I also think you're just an old crank who would complain about cold ice cream.

Your comments on what the police department does and does not need reeks of an ideology founded on dangerous ignorance that I surely hope does not spread throughout the town. It's frightening when someone like you self-proclaims themselves as some kind of expert in public safety and stating that they know best how to operate and equip those agencies. '' A local police dept that does not experience violent crime" ......seriously? If you want to stay wrapped in your own little insular Utopia, then that's your perogative. Just don't try and advocate for a watering down of police protection for the rest of us that reside in reality.

Coventry RI Taxpayer obviously is just making comments to start a debate. He can't really be serious. I mean, if anyone thinks that bullet proof vests aren't needed because a cop hasn't been shot yet then he needs some help. It doesn't matter if it's New York City or Coventry, the job is the same. How about the former NY cop that never drew his weapon there and then gets shot on his way into work in Johnston?????? Bet he was glad he had his vest on that night... 6 cars to serve a warrant???? Absolutely...because the "minor" calls can be the worst.
