I am glad Gary Cote won. They were all good people that ran for Council in District 4. However, Mr. Cote has the most expierence and most knowledge and knows budgets. NO TAX INCREASE this year during his term as also Town Council President ! His only concern is the Coventry Tax Payer! Good Luck in the general election.

My promise was to no one except you friend. Now that I know your ID , I understand, Coventry Voter. Well, I as a Coventry Voter believe in a informed electorate. I propose a debate on the issues and to see who has the best vision for Coventry in Distict 4. Yes, there should be a series of debates between Richard Poleselli and Gary Cote to see who is the best person to represent District 4. I also think this should be done in all our elections.

No Dave it was not directed at me. Let me set the record straight, You directed it at the Editor Lauren because a few comments hit too close to home.
Here is the link http://coventry.patch.com/articles/setting-the-record-straight-9227601e#comments
.
In your 12 years as Dem Town Committee Chairman followed by a bag man, the Coventry Dems have never been in favor or promoted open debate. The candidates have done it but only when the knew they had an advantage or were forced into it. Now you want openness? Dave Florio king of the closed session thinks the people have the right to be informed??
.
Did you get visited by 3 ghosts last night?
.
You ran the Dems on 12 years of Apathy and scaring the seniors with the threat of losing their tax freeze and linking the local GOP to the national party. you always waited until the GOP put their platform in the reminder then the week after you lifted the key points, put it in a larger color ad, and apathy did the rest
Spare us all the righteousness about open government and open debate.
.
Cote nearly lost his own neighborhood by 4 votes for a reason Dave. The people get it. After nearly 28 years of DEM control Coventry is Broke and over taxed.
Debate that!!

Well friend you are a very angry and negative person.I did the best I could , intimated no one, and had great time winning elections by putting up the best candidates and caring about folks. Remember, I know your ID and I know you are sour grapes. It's esay to slander people when you think you are behind a veil. So there Bin Laden, I think for the voters sake there should be debates.

Why is Richard Poleselli refusing to debate Gary Cote? Could it be he's cannot address the real issues? Or is it that he cannot speak well and therefore needs to have someone else control him and his actions? Why not let the voters decide?

Well I guess I chose the right candidate, Gary Cote, who's only interest was the Coventry resident. I ran clean races and won, with the best people and had great times in the process. Check out the numbers in Oakhaven now Bin Laden !
