PUCINO, FRANK, 88, of Coventry, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in West Virginia. He was the husband of the late Philomena (DiFranco) Pucino.
Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Carlo and Ida (Cubellis) Pucino. He had been a lifelong resident of RI, living in Coventry for the past 50 years. An Army veteran of WWII serving in England, France and Belgium, he received three medals of honor before his discharge in 1946. Frank retired from the Quonset Point Naval Base and the University of Rhode Island where he was an electrician. He was a member of the Pasco Senerchia American Legion Post #74 and the Crompton Vets.
He was the father of the late Stephen (Susan) Pucino of West Warwick. He is survived by sons Scott (Meg) of Green Oaks, IL, Frank (Dede) of New Market, MD, Gino (Juan Carlos Castano) of Los Angeles, grandchildren David, Amy, Karen, Adrienne, Clare, Ty, Joey, Danny, Emily, Missy Squillante, Nicholas Squillante, one great grandchild, Olivia, his siblings Gerry (Terry) and Mary Blade of West Warwick, Carlo (Pat Mills) of Cranston, Mildred (Joe) Denton of Tyler, Texas, brother-in-law Tullio (Olive) DiFranco of Cranston and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from the R. A. IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte. 117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in SS. John & Paul Church, Coventry. Interment with military honors will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
